Our story
Boson AI was founded in 2023 by Dr. Alex Smola and Dr. Mu Li, researchers with decades of experience building machine learning systems at scale.
Today, we're a team of 30+ researchers, engineers, and operators across Santa Clara, Toronto, and Barrie - building the models, the platform, and the production infrastructure, all in service of one shared belief: AI should be something people genuinely enjoy communicating with.
